About Al

Al Timmer III brings over 40 years of restoration experience to your renovation project.

He has broad experience fulling restoring special interest cars from the 1920s to present day. Al began in the field working on bicycles and motorbikes before progressing to show cars, concept cars, special interest cars and more.

In addition to opening Ypsilanti-based Al’s Restorations, he has worked with Jeff Gordon of Hendrick Motorsports, General Motors on a high-performance C5 Corvette, and was involved in the creation of several Detroit concept cars. Over that time, he became especially skilled in high end detailing, complete vehicle restoration and show car preparation; however, Al also has extensive electrical, mechanical and interior finishing knowledge as well.
